Old Business

d. Trail status: putting in water meter at Epley today and hook up Sumrall and Epley trough tomorrow. Guy cutting the trees has cut most of them, but there are still some in the way. The person that was grinding the wood has had problems with his equipment. He should have it fixed this week and have it all out next week. More dirt has been hauled in where the biggest culvert was. Might need a dozer once we get all the dirt in to dress up the trail.

e. Trail Ride: Motion made by Johnny to postpone the ride until after the holidays due to weather, seconded by Stephanie. All were in favor with none opposed.

f. Meetings will be held every other month in 2007, last Thursday. January 18, March 29, May 31, July 26, September 27, and November 29.

g. Saddle tags have been ordered and will arrive before our January meeting.

h. Vinyl sign purchased November 15, 2006. Greg contacted Stephanie, Harvey, Paige and Lamar for approval of purchase. All were in favor with none opposed. Signs purchased for $78.47.

Finance Report

i. We had 67 members in 2006.

j. To date, 25 members have paid through 2007.

k. Per Kelly, the amount spent through October was $4,877.76

l. Spent to date: $281.68 for tags, $7.90 for stamps and $78.47 for the vinyl signs to put on the wagons during the parades.

m. Balance to date in the Longleaf Trace Org. fund is $2,895.52.

New Business

n. Discussion on petty cash fund vs. handing all money over to Longleaf Trace organization. Fund will hold $200. Motion made by Johnny, seconded by Shirley. All were in favor with none opposed.

o. Big Buck has changed hands. Greg will talk to them and see if they will do a mile marker by doing $1,000 in t-shirts.

p. No word on the grant at this point.

q. Discussion ensued regarding trail from Epley to the Beaver Pond. It seems the membership would like the trail ready for wagons starting at Epley and going towards Sumrall. Members want to wait on clearing for wagons down to the Beaver Pond. Johnny and Dale will follow up with the board to find out what the direction is supposed to be and who is funding.

r. Next meeting on Thursday, January 18th at 7pm at the Sumrall Voting Precinct.

Being no further business President Greg Lowery declared the meeting was adjourned as of approximately 7:47 pm.
