Jeff
Davis Lake
Jeff Davis Lake is only a couple miles off the Trace near Prentiss, and has good
Camping,
boating, and picnicking facilities. They have rental boats, and can issue
temporary fishing
licenses. To get to Jeff Davis Lake from Highway 42, turn on Ed Parkman
road (also see
large brown signs on the highway) and go 1/4 mile. The entrance will be on
your right.
From the Trace, use the new Mayor
Blount's Contrail (side trail).
To go by road, turn on Ed Parman (sic) road and go 2.8 miles to the Lake.
If you are going in the Prentiss - Hattiesburg direction,
the turn will be to
the right, and vice versa.
There are quite a few fishing piers
around the lake.

Stables
4K has an area for RV parking, as well as primitive camping, with rest rooms
and
showers in the stable office area. See pictures

A nice primitive camp area has been
developed on the Trace near Carson,
just across from the horse trailer parking lot. It has plenty of parking
and
